Creativity & The Arts in Childhood
Philosophy of Art in Education
It is my belief that teachers must be advocates for arts education. The arts can create poweferul learning experiences and powerful outcomes for students. The arts benefit every aspect of student development - cognitive, social, physical and affective. The arts is not only what we learn but a way of learning - it is an embodied experience that can make education and life meaningful.

Australian Curriculum - Cross-curriculum priorities
'All Australian Curriculum learning areas can contribute to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures cross-curriculum priority. Taken collectively, Australian Curriculum learning areas deepen students’ knowledge and understanding of Australia and the First Australians. This knowledge and understanding enriches all students’ ability to participate positively in the ongoing development of Australia.'
